Hello there! Welcome to my lair!
I am a final year undergraduate student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay.One last semester and I will be a full engineer (and a scientist too, if one were to go by the department’s name :)).
As my bachelor thesis I am working on Emotion Analysis of Instant Messages under the guidance of Prof. Pushpak Bhattacharya. I am particularly interested in looking at the application of such techniques in automatic generation of avatar’s facial expressions in MMORPGs (like eve-online) and other useful role playing systems (e.g role playing games to teach kids face bullies).
I am a (self-professed? :P) programming buff and absolutely love to code long hours ( in fact the last time I noticed, I had been coding for 50 straight hours without even getting out of my chair! and believe me, I loved it :)). You can get (hopefully!) some idea of this on my portfolio page (if I ever manage to make time out for that :)) (and if you hadn’t noticed I tend to overuse subtexts and parentheses and emoticons :D).
